  • 1 cup Laura’s Farm Premium Long Grain White Rice
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon parsley (optional)


  1. Saute rice and garlic in butter

    • In a medium-large saucepan, over medium heat, saute the rice and garlic in the butter for 3-4 minutes or until garlic is fragrant.
  2. Cook

    • Add milk, water and salt then bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer. Cover and cook for 20 minutes or until rice is tender. Stir occasionally so rice doesn’t stick to the bottom, but don’t over do it.
  3. Stir in cheese

    • Stir in Parmesan cheese. Taste to see if you need any additional salt. And if you would prefer your “risotto” a little creamier, add in a splash of milk. Turn off heat and cover to let your dish rest for 5 minutes.
  4. Enjoy

    • Sprinkle with parsley, if you would like.
