Chicken and Rice Soup

Quick and easy family favorite!

This is a favorite of Laura’s family! If ever someone is not feeling well or just wants a little taste of home, Laura gets a call to whip up a batch of her famous Chicken and Rice soup. Good thing it is a quick recipe to whip up!

  • 2/3 cup uncooked Laura’s Farm Premium Long Grain Rice
  • 3 cups chopped cooked chicken (rotisserie chicken is great in a pinch)
  • 5 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 carrots, peeled and diced
  • 2 celery stalks, diced
  • 1 cups chopped cooked bacon
  • 1 (1 oz) package Original Hidden Valley Ranch Salad Dressing & Seasoning mix
  • 1 (10.75 oz) can condensed cheddar cheese soup


Chicken, Pork


  1. Combine all ingredients

    • Combine all ingredients in a large pot or dutch oven.
  2. Bring to boil

    • Over medium-high heat, bring to boil. Once at a rolling boil, reduce heat to simmer and cook for 20 minutes, or until rice is cooked.
  3. Serve

    • Serve with crackers or a slice of your favorite homemade bread. Be sure to get some for yourself, this soup goes quick.
